About the event

Alyssa Flora is a songwriter, poet, actress and feminist who has a constant urge to create through various forms. Growing up, she was always multi-passionate, partaking in many types of performing arts programs. Alyssa finds that she thinks cinematically, noticing the beauty of simple moments, but she also overthinks.

"Life can feel like you are in a boat, not knowing which way to row. Sometimes, we need to stop and recognize that multiple paths exist. What feels like our truth, may not necessarily be real or the right decision to this universe or for everyone around us. It really does depend on the situation, but we can recognize that there are multiple paths". - Alyssa

Alyssa's work dives into ideas of love, simplicity, femininity, overthinking, grief and existentialism. She hopes that by putting her work out there, it will help someone. By channeling feelings into a creative form, all who take it in can connect.

On a typical day, she is grateful for moments with loved ones, exploring cities, trying new restaurants and popping into coffee shops. Then at night, finds joy in the routines of a having a home and tries to create further music or writing.

Alyssa is often hyperaware that this day will never come again. Each moment that we get to be alive on this planet is mind-blowing. Why wouldn't we strive for everything we want, all while having fun along the way?”
